AARON CURRIE (PARTNER)

Aaron joined Welty, Weaver, & Currie in 2017 after previously practicing with the well-respected firm of Dickenson Peatman & Fogarty. Prior to that, Aaron successfully ran his own law office. Aaron’s practice focuses on business and real estate transactions and draws from his prior experience in the technology and real estate sectors, along with an MBA, to offer clients a unique and practical perspective when advising them on legal issues.

Aaron assists clients in every phase of the business life cycle—from entity selection and financing, to negotiating and structuring transactions during operations, to the sale of assets and equity interests. Aaron routinely helps clients with brand establishment and protection through trademark prosecution and enforcement and counsels clients on other intellectual property matters such as trade secrets and copyrights. Aaron has also handled numerous commercial real estate transactions including purchases, leasing, and options. Aaron also has become a trusted advisor to numerous clients in the commercial cannabis industry and assisting them with obtaining operating licenses and complying with local and state laws.

Aaron is a Sonoma County native and attended Cardinal Newman High School. He spends his time outside of the office with his wife and two sons who keep him busy playing baseball, soccer, and of course, practicing wrestling moves. Aaron enjoys snowboarding in the winter and golfing in the summer. He has a fondness for a great bourbon and never says no to chocolate no matter how hard he tries.

He received his Bachelor of Science with honors and his M.B.A. from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo, and earned his Law Degree at the University of San Francisco, School of Law.
